We’re thrilled to kick off another unique projec We’re thrilled to kick off another unique project featuring Twig’s custom cabinets for our Chamber friends, Rena & Bo! This project is all about transforming their mudroom and fireplace with some seriously cool custom pieces. ✨ Inspiration Spotlight: • Shoe Cubbies: 2 sets of shoe cubbies to redesign the mudroom closet • Fireplace Mantel: A stunning mantel with a solid wood top handcrafted by a furniture-making partner • Fireplace Glow-up: Remove the dated walls around the TV and replace the tiles with something classy So far, Josh demoed the drywall above the fireplace to open up the space around the TV. He also brought in a mock-up of the mantel to ensure the perfect fit before the real one is crafted. We’re excited to bring this vision to life with custom cabinetry, drywall repair, and tile installation from floor to mantel. We: ✔️ Smoothed out 200 SQ FT of textured walls to prep for wallpaper installation. ✔️ Installed stunning black slate tiles at the back entrance and a unique black & gold backsplash. ✔️ Added custom board & batten paneling to the back entrance, dining room, stairway, and around the fireplace. ✔️ Upgraded outlets and installed a new electric fireplace for that extra cozy touch. Our team has been hard at work removing walls and Our team has been hard at work removing walls and tearing out the existing pantry to make way for the new kitchen layout. As always with renovation projects, there were a few surprises along the way! We discovered pipes in the floor right where one of the new beams needs to go. Thankfully, the engineer, who happens to be a neighbor, was able to come over and help us adjust the plan in real-time. Now we’re ready to move forward with the next steps! The homeowner has brought us in to handle the parts of the project that require some extra expertise. We'll be taking care of the partial demo, installing 2 structural beams, doing the electrical work, framing a new pantry, and finishing with drywall.
