We started sharing our experiences as first-time homeowners and contractors because we think we’ve got a unique perspective, but we want these stories to be valuable to other homeowners. Our full-house remodel will include many common renovation projects, like removing a non-load-bearing wall between the kitchen and living room, replacing the flooring throughout, and painting. While we’re not doing an addition, we are adding a lot to the house, too—a bathroom, 2 egress windows, and cooking gas lines to the kitchen and backyard for a BBQ. There’s so much that we can write about, so help us pick the most interesting subjects to you.

Should you be worried if the wiring looks like this?
