DURING- The DIY basement bathroom was missing many of the code requirements. As we rebuild it, we added floating walls and firestop insulation–things the building department will check during inspections.

DURING- Waterproof backerboard and insulation are installed so this shower stall will be more comfortable when finished.

DURING- New drywall and insulation in the walls, and waterproof shower pan installed. The space is primed for the next steps in the shower transformation: tiling.
